Let’s get the basics straight first.

All the games at Funrize can be played in two separate ways - by using either Tournament Coins or Promotional Entries. You can get both for free, but only Promotional Entries can be redeemed for prizes.

When you play using Tournament Coins, there are no prizes up for grabs and no value at all outside of Funrize Casino. They exist solely to play the games at Funrize. You can also purchase extra TCs if you want.

Promotional Entries are similar, but they can be redeemed for prizes when you win more through playing games. Unlike TCs, they can never be purchased, only received for free via various bonuses and giveaways. This is an essential component of the sweepstakes model that Funrize uses. 

You can only redeem Promotional Entries that you have won, rather than received via a free bonus. This basically works like a 1x playthrough attached to any PEs you get for free. 

Eligible PEs can be redeemed at a rate of PE1 for $0.01, or, to look at it another way, PE100 for $1. To request a gift card redemption, you need at least 2,500 eligible PEs in your account, which works out at a $25 card. The minimum cash redemption is $100, or 10,000 PEs. 

When you request a redemption, the cash prize gets sent back via the same method you used to purchase Tournament Coins. If this isn’t possible, you can nominate an alternative bank account in your name. Gift cards simply get sent to your email address.

🎲 What casino-style games are available at Funrize? 

In total, there are around 80 different games on the menu at Funrize, the vast majority of which are slots and provided by NetGame. If you’re pretty much exclusively interested in slots, Funrize is a really great option. But if you want a more diverse selection, you might be disappointed. We’re getting into all of it in this section.

The variety of slots on offer is excellent. Much of the software at Funrize comes from a provider called NetGame. They aren’t the biggest name in the industry, but from what we’ve seen so far we’re definitely impressed.

The software and graphics are great, along with imagination that has gone into the various themes and design. Some games - like Big Catch Bonanza and the Book of Nile series - are clearly inspired by long time popular games at real money casinos. But Funrize’s editions feel both fresh and interesting, rather than just a reheated pastiche.

There are also Hold ‘n’ Link slot games, which let you trigger respins and land one of four separate bonuses - Mini, Minor, Major or Grand. We also like the little information box that pops up about each game when you click it, before it launches, and the ability to save your favorites by clicking the heart.

This is where things start to get a little thin on the ground. Funrize doesn’t have traditional table games like blackjack, roulette or baccarat. 📱 Funrize mobile app

Unlike many social casinos, Funrize has mobile apps available for both iOS and Android. The app does a good job of optimizing the whole Funrize experience for the small screen, with pretty much exactly the same functionality on mobile as on desktop. You can play the games of course, but also purchase additional Coins and request prize redemptions very easily. 

That said, we did also come across a couple of bugs in the mobile platform, which could do with being ironed out. Overall, it doesn’t really affect the user experience too much, but it’s something to be aware of. 

The Funrize Casino app is currently rated around 3.9/5 on the App Store, which feels about right to us. 

If you prefer not to download the app, the software is also optimized for mobile access just by searching for the website using your phone’s browser. This works very well too, and feels pretty similar to the app.

There are seven different levels of the Funrize Club: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Sapphire, Diamond, and VIP. Each one unlocks new bonuses, including better prizes on the daily Funrize Wheel.

You rise through the ranks by earning XP (Experience Points) through playing the games at Funrize. For some reason, fishing games are exempt from earning XP. 

📞 Funrize customer support

The customer support options at Funrize are very good, and among the most extensive and versatile at social casinos in the US. 

First of all, and most importantly from our perspective, Funrize has live chat support. This is easily our favorite way to get support, and the button to open the chat is constantly hovering at the bottom of the screen. During our tests, we got fast and clear answers to the questions we had along the way with the site. We’re impressed.

But overall, it’s a positive review from us.

For sure! Funrize ticks a lot of boxes and, depending on your requirements from a social casino, could be the perfect option.
